Gravel bike tours in Slovenia
Slovenia is a small country (12.596 sq mi) and almost all its populations lives on the biggest cities. The result is that Slovenia' beautiful countryside is sparsely populated - except for the most touristic areas such the Lake Bled, Kranjska Gora and the Soka River valley. Accomodation facilities are easier to be found on these areas then. When designing our tours, we really like to transfer the feeling of exploration and discover. They call us "The Gravel Whisperers". We love to get lost and we do not get back until we don't have a great tour on hands. When planning your next gravel bike holiday in Slovenia, please consider to spend on the bike at least 5-6 days. Our most beloved tours (truly masterpieces of cycling-tourism) are in between 8 to 11 days long, offering amazing long distance routes crossing several countries. Start the ride from the dramatic rocky shapes of the Dolomites, explore the wild Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, cross the Alps and enter Austria for an apfelstrudel to finally cruise the whole Slovenia' countryside. The passion become a job, being a professional scout to design hiking and cycling holidays for outdoor tour operators, working on the bike industry and leading cycling tours around the world. He spent his last 35 years living the outdoor, most of the time in a tent, getting in love with the coldest days, harsh weather conditions and dramatic lights that only the mountains can give. 5 years ago he launched its own project called Dolomiti Gravel, a gravel cycling tours focused company based on the Italian Dolomites, where he live. 2 years ago he travelled back in his mum homeland and founded Slovenia Gravel.

Their lives out there can't be without dogs. Trustful companions for an infinite number of adventures, they are part of the team and their help on the search of the most beautiful trails is priceless. Timo is now enjoying the heavenly paths and has passed the baton to Mapu the dog. Mapu grow up among bikes and bikepacking gear (sometime tasting it with his teeth). The sound of a cassette body is enough for him to get immediately ready to leave. He has quickly become an expert, leading the scout and all the wild gravel adventures in our beloved mountains.
